Blending humor, intellect and imagery, I encourage students to open more fully to their own body wisdom.
I began my studies of Hatha Yoga and philosophy in 1989. My studies and practice led me to an interest in teaching. I earned my certification as a yoga teacher in 1999.
Continuing with asana (poses) and yogic traditions, I became fascinated with the most fundamental human movements as a way to align the body from the inside to the outside - where form and function meet. Through this union I began to relish in my own inner wisdom. Departing from refining "the perfect pose," I have enjoyed moments more fully and responded more skillfully.
I endorse the transformative tradition of yoga as a life practice to be taken off the mat and fully integrated into everyday and moment.
My greatest influences include internationally renowned teacher Donna Farhi, Body-Mind Centering creator Bonnie Bainbridge-Cohen, and Kripalu instructor Hansa Knox.
